BIOGRAPHY

Phoebe Richards is an Attorney at LaPolt Law, P.C., where she represents artists, songwriters, producers, and content creators in matters involving music rights, copyrights, licensing, and entertainment transactions. She brings more than a decade of international music industry experience to her practice, having held roles across global entertainment companies, Warner Bros., BMG Rights Management, and Z Global HK Music Ltd. Through those roles, she managed complex publishing and licensing projects, oversaw high-volume music rights data systems, guided international songwriting collaborations, and pitched U.S. and European repertoire for major Asian releases – including a diamond-certified No. 1 release in China.

Having more career dreams than any one human can fulfill, Phoebe has been fortunate to fulfill a few. Beyond the entertainment sector, another dream career was in corporate training. After getting her ‘big break’ teaching Microsoft Office to the FBI, she traveled the globe delivering programs and leading initiatives for organizations such as IBM, HP, GE, Morgan Stanley, and the U.S. Department of Defense. Her extensive worldwide experience in corporate training, learning strategy, recruitment and workforce development led her to Infopro Learning, Inc. where she recruited and placed executive coaches, leadership training facilitators and instructional designers across dozens of countries full-time while attending law school.

Phoebe is also active in community advocacy, having taught and facilitated programs with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and organized music industry and songwriting programs for youth experiencing homelessness at the Los Angeles LGBT Center and Safe Place for Youth (S.P.Y.).
