At LaPolt Law, P.C., Danielle oversees the firm’s urban and black music division, in addition to handling the firm’s urban-leaning pop artists, producers, and music industry executives. In doing so, Danielle negotiates and drafts numerous agreements relating to the music business, including: major and independent label recording agreements, music publishing agreements, and production agreements; producer, mixer, featured artist, and songwriter agreements; sponsorship and endorsement and merchandising agreements; live performance and personal appearance agreements; various rights clearance agreements for film and television; and executive employment agreements. Danielle also negotiates brand deals relating to new media and social media influencers and supports outside counsel with respect to trademark, criminal, immigration, and litigation matters.

Prior to joining LaPolt Law, P.C., Danielle served as an attorney in the legal affairs department of a major record label where she handled matters of content protection and pursued claims of copyright and trademark infringement. Prior to that, Danielle worked in the business and legal affairs departments of a major film studio and a catalog record label and where she drafted talent agreements, album licenses, sound recording agreements, and artwork licenses.

In an effort to “pay it forward,” each winter Danielle served as a co-lecturer to Dina LaPolt in Dina’s UCLA Extension course “Legal and Practical Aspects of the Music Business”.
