BIOGRAPHY

Tom Dean is a partner at LaPolt Law. Tom focuses his practice on talent representation and represents, advises and counsels numerous recording artists, content creators, producers, and songwriters in all aspects of their entertainment careers. With over 15 years of experience in the music and entertainment industry, Tom has an insiders perspective and unique understanding of both the creative and business-related issues faced by talent today. With a clear understanding of the diverse legal needs of clients today, Tom helps his clients structure and negotiate various types of agreements, such as agreements for music recording, music publishing, brand sponsorships and endorsements, content creation, live performances, merchandising, and NFT drops.

Prior to joining LaPolt Law, Tom worked for Universal Music Group where he developed a sound understanding of the music business. Now, at LaPolt Law, Tom works closely with a diverse range of clients, including A-list hip-hop and R&B artists, established and up-and-coming rock stars, Grammy-nominated producers and songwriters, and some of the most sought-after content creators and influencers on social media, and helps guide his clients in achieving their professional goals and navigating complex legal issues in today’s ever-changing environment.

In his free time, Tom enjoys discovering new music, attending punk rock concerts, and knocking down 3’s on the basketball court.
