Biography
Heidy Vaquerano has been with LaPolt Law, P.C. for ten years where she has become very experienced in drafting and negotiating agreements relating to the music business including recording agreements, producer agreements, various work for hire agreements, management agreements, licensing agreements for film, TV and video games and mechanical licensing. In addition, she handles matters relating to copyright and trademark asset management, book publishing, merchandising, endorsement and sponsorship agreements, and various agreements pertaining to touring and concert promotion. Heidy continues to strengthen her experience by attending various music business conferences and seminars as well as assisting, Dina LaPolt, as a co-instructor for the "Legal and Practical Aspects of the Music Business" class at UCLA Extension where she will be lecturing on the business and legal issues surrounding the use of social networking sites. Heidy has lectured at various entertainment industry events and has recently been asked by the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers to speak at the prestigious MIDEM conference in Cannes, France in 2010, which is one of the largest international music business conferences in the world.
